Effective 3 October 2026
CrossWar is a real-time strategy game for iPhone made by Hrachik Ajamian. This page explains what the game collects, why, and what you can ask us to do with it. Questions: support@crosswar.games.
What we collect
- Your player name — the name you choose, shown to other players.
- A random device ID — created by iOS for this app only. It tells your games and logs apart from other players'; it is not your Apple ID and cannot identify you by itself.
- Game records — the moves, results and timings of the matches you play, including the tutorial.
- Connection and usage logs — network quality, app events (such as opening the app, which screens you visit, finishing the tutorial) and basic device information (model, iOS version, battery and thermal state), used to fix bugs and improve the game.
- A notification token — only if you allow notifications, so we can tell you when friends are looking for a match.
- Reports — if you report another player, we store the report.
We do not collect your real name, email, contacts, location, photos or advertising identifier.
How we use it
Only to run the game (matchmaking, online play, notifications), to fix problems and to improve the game. There are no ads in CrossWar. We do not track you across other apps or websites, and we do not sell or share your data with anyone for marketing.
Where it is kept
On our own server, hosted by Google Cloud in the European Union. Notifications are delivered through Apple's push notification service. We keep the data as long as it is useful for running and improving the game.
Your choices
- You can change your player name in the app at any time.
- You can turn notifications off in the iPhone Settings app.
- You can ask us to delete the data linked to your device: email support@crosswar.games with your player name, and we will remove it.
Children
CrossWar is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them. If you believe a child has used the game, contact us and we will delete the data.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update this page and its date.
